The title Wired Wood refers to something that is simultaneously electronic / futuristic and something that is organic.

Through out this debut EP, SUEDE MERIT skillfully combines organic field recordings of natural habitats with futuristic sound design and beat programming.

SUEDE MERIT captured the field recordings mostly on low fi device such as his iPhone and therefore the organic recordings have a certain low fi texture that aids the overall grit, dirt and feel of the EP.
All the tracks were recorded as live performance from MPC controllers which has further resulted in giving Wired Wood an organic looseness to the beats and a certain immediacy that can only come from a live performance.

SUEDE MERIT's Wired Wood is a beautiful textural debut EP that is as psychedelic as it is head nodding.
